Account Security

Keep your Verow account secure with password updates, multi-factor authentication, and connected accounts.

Your Verow account may contain sensitive client information. Keep it secure with these settings.

Access Security Settings

  1. Sign in to Verow
  2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner
  3. Select Settings
  4. Scroll down to find security options

Change Your Password

  1. Find the Password card in your settings
  2. Enter your new password
  3. Confirm the new password
  4. Click Update Password

Choose a strong password that you don't use on other sites. A good password has at least 12 characters and mixes letters, numbers, and symbols.

If you signed in with Google or magic link only, you may not have a password set. You can add one here to have multiple ways to access your account.

Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security. After entering your password, you'll also need a code from an authenticator app.

To enable MFA:

  1. Find the Multi-Factor Authentication card
  2. Click Add to set up a new factor
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy)
  4. Enter the verification code from the app
  5. Save the backup codes in a secure place

To disable MFA:

  1. Find the Multi-Factor Authentication card
  2. Click the remove option next to your factor
  3. Confirm the removal

We recommend keeping MFA enabled, especially if you access client data.

Connected Accounts

The Linked Accounts section shows which services are connected to your Verow account.

Google - If connected, you can sign in with one click using your Google account.

To connect Google:

  1. Find the Linked Accounts card
  2. Click Link next to Google
  3. Sign in to your Google account when prompted
  4. Authorize the connection

To disconnect Google:

  1. Find the Linked Accounts card
  2. Click Unlink next to Google

Make sure you have another way to sign in (password or magic link) before disconnecting your only linked account.

Best Practices

  • Use a unique password - Don't reuse passwords from other services
  • Enable multi-factor authentication - Especially if you manage client data
  • Keep your email secure - Your email is used for password resets
  • Sign out on shared devices - Don't stay signed in on computers others can access
  • Review connected accounts periodically - Remove any you no longer use
