Account Security
Keep your Verow account secure with password updates, multi-factor authentication, and connected accounts.
Your Verow account may contain sensitive client information. Keep it secure with these settings.
Access Security Settings
- Sign in to Verow
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner
- Select Settings
- Scroll down to find security options
Change Your Password
- Find the Password card in your settings
- Enter your new password
- Confirm the new password
- Click Update Password
Choose a strong password that you don't use on other sites. A good password has at least 12 characters and mixes letters, numbers, and symbols.
If you signed in with Google or magic link only, you may not have a password set. You can add one here to have multiple ways to access your account.
Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security. After entering your password, you'll also need a code from an authenticator app.
To enable MFA:
- Find the Multi-Factor Authentication card
- Click Add to set up a new factor
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy)
- Enter the verification code from the app
- Save the backup codes in a secure place
To disable MFA:
- Find the Multi-Factor Authentication card
- Click the remove option next to your factor
- Confirm the removal
We recommend keeping MFA enabled, especially if you access client data.
Connected Accounts
The Linked Accounts section shows which services are connected to your Verow account.
Google - If connected, you can sign in with one click using your Google account.
To connect Google:
- Find the Linked Accounts card
- Click Link next to Google
- Sign in to your Google account when prompted
- Authorize the connection
To disconnect Google:
- Find the Linked Accounts card
- Click Unlink next to Google
Make sure you have another way to sign in (password or magic link) before disconnecting your only linked account.
Best Practices
- Use a unique password - Don't reuse passwords from other services
- Enable multi-factor authentication - Especially if you manage client data
- Keep your email secure - Your email is used for password resets
- Sign out on shared devices - Don't stay signed in on computers others can access
- Review connected accounts periodically - Remove any you no longer use
